THE POSITION

We are seeking a CAD Technician to partner with our landlord, broker and tenant clients to provide building measurement services. You will work with client-provided building plans and conduct site verifications and site surveys to delineate existing conditions. You will draft space plans and construction drawings, and correct drawings redlined by others. You will conduct area analyses in accordance with BOMA floor measurement standards.  You will deliver reports and supporting documents that are accurate and defensible. You will also assist with organizing and maintaining our network files and detail library.

REQUIREMENTS

You must have the following qualifications:

  • Fundamental knowledge of architecture with relevant education and work experience 
  • Architectural field survey experience including measurement of commercial buildings and an understanding of space planning principals
  • Knowledge of building codes related to space planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of ANSI/BOMA measurement standards
  • Meticulous CAD modeling practice and file management skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • High standards for the accuracy, integrity and defensibility of deliverables
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills
