Project Manager/Project Architect

The Project Manager/ Project Architect will oversee projects from inception through completion including all design phases, client interaction, schedule and financial performance of each project. Self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential. Experience with managing hospitality projects a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist President and Studio Director with generating project deliverable priorities and related schedules

  • Ability to manage and build-upon client relationships

  • Understand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout

  • Manage project teams of up to 10 people per project, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones

  • Develop and maintain Project Schedules

  • Be responsible for financial profitability of each project assigned

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing for each project assigned

  • Responsible for day-to-day control and management of the architectural team (design through contract documents and contract administration) as well as the client and consultant teams.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to assist in proposal writing

  • Must maintain communication with the President so key project related decisions can be made swiftly.

    Key Skills:

  • Five-year Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture is required

  • Minimum 10 plus years of experience

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, In-design; 3D software such as Sketchup is required.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

  • License preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • The ideal candidate will be a team oriented and an excellent communicator, (superb proficiency in written and spoken English is a must) self-motivated, and comfortable in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

  • You must already be eligible to work in the United States of America and preferably already located in the New York City area.
