PGN, a small-mid size architectural design firm in DC is seeking a Project Manager to complement its vibrant and diverse practice.  Our service-oriented firm caters to the needs of our clients through providing services from pre-design through construction administration.  We successfully shepherd our projects through code review, zoning and historic approvals processes.  Taking on both high-end and affordable design challenges, we specialize in commercial office interiors, mixed-use, multi-family residential, and affordable housing projects throughout the District and surrounding region. 

Position Overview 

We’re looking for a qualified applicant with design, production and project management experience for various project types (including multi-family residential) to contribute to our already successful practice. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, creative, adaptable, a strong leader, has good communication skills and is a self-starter.  The candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring and motivating multiple project teams from inception through project closeout.  


Architecture Registration 
7+ years of related experience 
Professional Degree (Masters or Bachelors) in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program 
Strong understanding of architectural principles/practices 
Previous multi-family housing/residential experience required (provide references) 
Knowledge of local (Washington, DC) building codes, zoning laws and permitting  
Extensive knowledge of constructability, technical regulations and related code compliance 
Ability to oversee quality control of contract documents 
Strong leadership, organization, communication (verbal + written) and relationship management skills 
Ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new relationships 
Has demonstrated success as a project manager on various project types 
Experience leading teams of design professionals, consultants and team members 
Ability to determine project requirements and strong in process management  
Experience managing, fees, schedules, and staffing 
Ability to evaluate projects for value engineering and cost savings 
Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit, Google SketchUp, Adobe Suite
