Project Manager / Interior Architectural Sr. project Designer – High End Modern Residential Design

Formed in 1992, Allen Saunders, Inc.  is an award winning interior architectural design studio specializing in the design and production of high-end residential interiors.  Over 20 years of successful projects has garnered the design studio with a body of work varied in geography and individual style recognizable by the striking equilibrium which resonates throughout the custom produced interiors. Widely known for pristine residential projects, the design studio has received many prestigious awards, including seven ASID Design Excellence awards. The design work continues to be celebrated in major publications including, Miami Home & Decor, Better Homes & Gardens, Interior Design and recently published in the 2014 summer issue of Florida Design Magazine.  

Allen Saunders, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for Project Manager / Sr. level Interior/Architectural Design positions.   Candidates must meet the following skill and experience qualification requirements:

Personal requirements, skills, experience and education:

  • Residential experience REQUIRED, commercial experience a plus
  • 10 year work experience in the high end residential / commercial field is required (post grad)
  • Bachelor degree in Architecture and /or Interior Design from accredited institution
  • Architectural registration and NCIDQ certified a plus.
  • English language proficiency, both verbal and written skills – additional languages a plus  
  • Currently living in the South Florida area of the United States (No relocations)       
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship
  • Vehicle and valid driver license is required

Management skills:

Highly organized, exceptional client management and design team leadership

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to convey project information to clients and consultants
  • Capable of managing 2-3 projects simultaneously
  • Provide project schedule and maintenance of schedule – meeting deadlines.
  • Supervise production staff for design and drafting of design development and construction documents

Design / creative / technical skills:

  • Exceptional CAD Skills / REVIT a plus
  • Proficiency required utilizing MS Outlook  / Excel
  • Knowledge of Studio IT Design specific software a plus
  • Strong graphic and presentation skills (Photoshop / illustrator, InDesign / sketch-up)
  • Experience and strong knowledge of construction documentation and technical detailing
  • Significant experience with high end sophisticated modern residential design
  • Advanced skillset regarding interior construction, custom millwork and furniture design detailing
  • Ability to produce fully detailed and coordinated construction document sets without supervision.
  • Experience Coordinating with MEP engineering consultants for discipline integration.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction materials, architectural finishes and interior design products
