NBBJ Los Angeles studio is looking for a Senior Project Manager who has experience managing large, complex Corporate and Commercial projects involving client contact and leadership responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Leadership within a creative design studio environment and with high-profile domestic and global clients
  • Knowledgeable in trends and metrics of Corporate and Commercial markets
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with demanding schedules
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager with large, complex projects that range from Pre-design through Construction Administration, including contract formation and negotiations, work plan development and the ability to work with a variety of project delivery methodologies
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience both domestic and overseas
  • Bachelor’s degree; B Arch or M Arch desired
  • Architectural licensure desired; LEED Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Revit
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup, Rhino or 3DS Max desirable
  • Desire to travel as  project(s) requires

Key Responsibilities

  • Team management – plan, organize, and supervise the work of design and technical staff of up to 10+ individuals. Embrace and implement ‘process design
  • Responsibility for accuracy and applicability of documents for entire project(s) along with the project architect
  • Build and maintain day-to-day working relationship with client(s) and consultants
  • Lead decision making process with fiscal accountability and responsibility
  • Develop and execute a management work plan for the overall project(s)
  • Assist with proposal preparation and participate in client interviews/presentations
  • Responsible for all correspondence, reports, documentation, and general administration for the overall project(s)
  • Responsible for the execution of the project within the boundaries of the design intent
  • Make independent decisions on architectural problems and methods
  • Solve problems creatively with consultants
  • Draft/negotiate contracts and fee proposals
  • Assist in Corporate and Commercial business development and collaborate with other studios within NBBJ
