We are seeking a junior to mid-level architectural CAD designer for a freelance role with an internationally renowned beauty brand.

Production of retail store layouts based on design input from various teams. Working with an approved design; develop from start to finish complete construction documents which comply with all applicable codes and regulations and take into consideration electrical and plumbing realities.

Sit-in on meetings with an ability to convey to non-architecturally based individuals design intent and any restrictions that limit or change the design.

Development, when necessary, new fixture shop drawings as well as 3d renderings for approvals.

Site visits as required for site surveys and punch-lists.

Job Requirements: (Minimum)

  • 3-5 years of high-end retail architectural experience
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Adobe Suite
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to create basic 3D renderings
  • Bachelor degree required, focus in architecture
  • Experience with managing both the design process and developing clear, concise, and comprehensive construction documents
  • Strong working knowledge of basic fixture and cabinet construction detailing and methods
  • Understanding of electrical and plumbing systems and design in a retail setting
  • Demonstrated creative abilities, sketching, conceptual rendering, and space planning
  • Accustomed to managing multiple concurrent assignments
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of building codes, ADA code and interior standards
  • Ability to multi-task and self prioritize.

The position is on-site 5 days/week.
