We currently have a CAD Manager position available in our Dallas, TX office, focusing on multifamily residential and mixed-use projects.

Specific duties include developing, implementing and updating CAD standards; managing inventory of CAD library of details and systems and training Architectural and support staff. The Manager also provides support and assistance to the Architectural staff teams by assisting in relation to CAD software technical questions and tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review established standards and processes, evaluate possible improvements, participate in staff “brainstorming” sessions and develop customization tools, routines/subroutines to increase productivity and decrease E/O through automation
  • Development and maintenance of CAD Library
  • Provide input to the CAD standards manual
  • Quality audit checks on Title sheets, layers, fonts, line types
  • Post drawings to appropriate central location for the use of Architectural staff in all offices
  • Offer drawing production support for personnel, as necessary
  • Assist with problem resolution related to AutoCAD and drawing issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction or equivalent is required
  • 3 to 5 years of CAD operations experience (specific knowledge of current version of Auto CAD Architecture preferred)
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or training in these applications
  • Basic knowledge of Revit
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft specific programming language
  • Knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building code and CAD concepts
  • Excellent timely, clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal, design and organization skills as well as high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Thrive in a challenging and fast paced work environment
  • Positive attitude with high energy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BIM software is a plus
