I am about to graduate this May; thus I am looking for either a fulltime job or intern to apply my learned knowledge and nurtured thoughts in professional architectural practice.

I am now attending the M. Arch program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Architecture School (3.82 GPA first 3 semesters) as an international student from China. After I got my bachelor degree in Architecture from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, I also managed to accrue more than 3 years of professional working experience in an international architecture design company with high reputation before deciding to refine personal professional knowledge and combine practice experience with innovative ideas in graduate school.

I believe it's impossible to establish a successful design or scheme without moderate concern about engineering and construction. Besides learning more detailed and profound construction and architectonic knowledge, I focused on computational methods toward detailed architectural implementation and designing method research. Commonly, I would manipulate parametric tools (grasshopper and plugins) to realize design proposals which are of high level of execution efficiency and completion in a systematic way. Eventually, my design proposal tends to find a perfect balance among the extraordinary experience of users, reasonable construction expense and project realizing difficulties.

I have been consistently praised as rigorous and inclusive, at the same time, innovative, and by my professors, supervisors, and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I use dialectic and critical thinking and generate conclusions based on clear logic, which I think is a must for any tasks related to the position.

I am now applying Optional Practical Training (OPT) based on my F-1 visa status. The program I am attending now has been assigned as STEM project, so I can keep my F-1 visa status for 29 months. After that, I need sponsorship to continue working in U.S.
