Yolande Vorster

Yolande Vorster

Brisbane, AU

I was born in the beautiful, culturally rich Midlands region of South Africa, where I completed my schooling before immigrating to Australia with my family. Growing up in such a multicultural environment primed my love for travelling and immersing myself in other cultures, while broadening my view of the world. I also enjoy skiing, photography, entertaining and organising events.

Working at Architectus has proven to be an enriching experience, as I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills. It has also fuelled my passion for architecture, a passion that has changed the way that people around me view the built world.

To attain a part-time position in an established architecture firm where I can experience, learn and contribute as much as possible. To experience the working process of the firm,  while developing my understanding of architectural design and technology.

To become an integral part of a leading international architectural firm, where I can utilise my experience and creativity to contribute to the design process and completion of meaningful architecture.

Recommendation from Kevin Howie:

(Eastern Region Manager at METS Engineering, Kevin was working at GHD when he mentored me)

'Yolande was a very organised, energetic and capable group member of the 2012 RAIA Architecture Undergraduate Mentor program. I found her to be very creative and capable in delivery of excellent design results. In my opinion, Yolande demonstrated excellence in both etherical and logical design understanding and outcomes. Yolande was very attentive and an excellent contributer to the group discussions. I wish Yolande well would recommend her to any design oriented Architecture practice.'
