Remember studying for exams? Using different color markers to highlight specific texts as important? That’s how Epigenetics work. Epigenetics are markers or tags that attach on top of our DNA to trigger a specific sequence ‘on’ or ‘off’. Epigenetics shows our genetics sequence to be more of a recipe than a blueprint.
Maternity is the most prone phase to the process of Epigenetics. Environmental factors play a huge role in shaping the DNA sequence of the child. This project investigates to what extent can architecture play a scientific role on maternity?
The projects envisions a house that takes place in the third trimester phase of pregnancy.
