Silvia Ruiz-Poveda Lomba is a Spanish architect and artist. She graduated from  Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM).

Due to her interest in arts and cinema, she combined her studies at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London in Art Direction, Film Production at UCLA and Architecture at Seoul National University, giving her an ample and particular sensibility to approach projects with an adaptative awareness of the context, the scales and functionality where architecture owns the opportunity to make things better for future's people, expanding through the concept of the senses the perception of our world, looking forward the future which is coming and that architecture is able to premeditate to be projected, creating new oportunities to keep growing in a more free system to the way of living instead of oppress it.

Silvia ended her Master in Architecture creating a sophisticated project about a new typology of Piers in Huntington Beach, California. Extremely concerned about sustainability and natural energy resources, with a new structure that will permit to expand the program of a Pier while being compact to the site over the ocean to receive the minimum impact, then re-used those sources for a multiple public uses, where coexists a Surf Museum, an Aquarium, surf and skate schools, a beach-house restaurant and a greenhouse. While maintaining the permeability and fluidity the original concept of a Pier has, it becomes a more economical and green architecture for the city of Huntington Beach.

She is an experienced BIM Architect with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & planning industry in Spain and United States.

The strong Arts and Design skills she has, makes her a professional architectural designer focused in Sustainable Architecture Design in large and small scale buildings and different typologies.

Silvia is also very interested in work with music and scenography. Eventually collaborates with artists to design their album and collaborates with film directors in set design, sound, etc.

She was born in Zaragoza and then she moved to Madrid to study Architecture. She has lived between Paris, Seoul, London, Los Angeles, San Sebastián and Biarritz, giving her an adaptable and flexible attitude that her Architecture thinking  shows with her designs. She collaborates with different Architecture studios accomplishing competitions.

Her love for the arts, architecture and cinema brings her to Los Angeles, where she continues her career as an Architectural Designer.
