With the aviation transportation industry constantly evolving, Changi 
Airport Group required Singapore’s oldest Terminal (1) to be upgraded and 
its passenger handling capacity increased to cope with the ever-growing 
demands of the travel industry in Singapore. The challenges of this project 
lay with a complete replacement of the existing Baggage Handling System, 
Departure Hall and Arrival Hall and seamless interfacing with the new and 
iconic Project Jewel, whilst maintaining uninterrupted and uncompromised 
Airport operations and passenger experiences.
