With eight years of experience in the architecture field, I have participated in all stages of the design process in a varied number of projects ranging from single-family housing to institutional projects and competitions. In these projects, I have held positions of leadership or as part of a larger team where I have honed my design, drafting, managerial and decision making skills.
As Partner in my own small firm, Tarata, I oversaw the design and development of projects of varying scales, from installations and exhibits to housing and institutional competitions.
Additionally, in 2015 I joined the design team of the Ministry of Education of Peru in order to design and build, in an unprecedented effort, a modular system of schools for the Amazon Rainforest. In parallel, I have kept an active participation in academics by teaching design studios for over 5 years in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Lima.
I recently graduated from the Master of Science Advanced Architectural Design program at Columbia University, where I am currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the MSAAD Summer Studio. Prior to that, I hold a five-year Bachelor’s Degree from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Lima, Peru.
