The Boston Architectural College invites the community to join us for a public lecture by internationally renowned landscape architect Adriaan Geuze, founder and director of West 8 urban design & landscape architecture, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 6 pm at Boston Architectural College, 320 Newbury Street, Boston, MA. The lecture is free and open to the public.

West 8 has led the vanguard of landscape design and urbanism for three decades. As landscape architects and urban designers, the North American West 8 team consistently finds optimistic and innovative ways to weave contemporary culture, narrative, and joy into forgotten urban places, consistently marrying West 8's Dutch DNA with an American outlook and understanding of landscape. Adriaan Geuze will highlight some of West 8's recent North American portfolio, from the renaissance of an abandoned urban island to the leveraging of waste to rebuild eroding coastlines.

About Adriaan Geuze

Adriaan Geuze is Founder and Design Director of West 8 urban design & landscape architecture, one of the world's leading practices for Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and New York, the West 8 team is responsible for such diverse works as the Kröller-Müller Sculpture Park in Otterlo, the Netherlands, Governors Island Park and Public Spaces in New York City, Longwood Gardens' Master Plan and Main Fountain Garden in Pennsylvania, and Toronto's Central Waterfront.
