Food from the 'Hood

With the concept of farm to table in mind, we proposed an agricultural midtown west Manhattan. the focus was to develop pedestrian friendly community with urban farms. The massing and typology of the built neighborhood was derived from multiple variations simulated on Rhino (grasshoper) to map solar radiation, wind flow and shade for the next 50 years. The idea was to reduce carbon footprint of processed food while mitigating micro climate.
