2013 - ongoing

124 West 16th Street is a ground-up, residential condo development in lower Manhattan. The new construction, on a characteristic, 25’ narrow New York City lot, is steel frame and concrete deck and will be clad in a 2” bluestone masonry skin. The apartments will fit into the ’boutique luxury’ segment of the market, in the fashionable neighborhood of Chelsea.
The building form is distinctive as a consequence of the acquisition of air-rights from the adjacent French Evangelical Church. The first four storeys are to be built on the 25’ lot. At the fifth storey, new structure will bridge over the existing (1835) historical Church. When completed, the building will hold fourteen high-end apartments in all, with five full-floor units and a penthouse spanning the eleventh floor + roof level.
