About 

Sacha Constable is a New York-based, New Zealand-born intermediate architect. She graduated from VUW School of Architecture in 2012 with a Masters of Architecture and has since gained 5 years experience in practice with a particular focus on post-disaster reconstruction following the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010. In 2014, Sacha moved to New York and is currently employed by COOKFOX Architects. 

Sacha has experience leading complex, BIM coordinated projects. She has high-level computer literacy in computer aided design packages: Autodesk Revit, Autocad, Rhino and Adobe Design Suite. 

Sacha has worked on a range of institutional, educational, multi-unit residential and urban design projects. A sample of the work is exhibited here and available in hard-copy upon request.

Experienced technical architect with particular expertise in high-end residential projects. Currently the co-project manager of a new-build, single-family townhouse in the West Village. Assistance includes the technical production of detailed design drawings for construction, coordinating effectively with consulting engineers and producing filing documentation for LPC and DOB approval.

Developed and implemented company-wide Revit standards and delivered training content. Ran BIM coordination meetings between project consultants and lead project teams to develop and implement project-specific BIM workflows. Design, scripting, and utilization of BIM related tools including; sophisticated BIM modelling; creation of parametric Revit families.

Worked collaboratively through all stages of the design process from conception to practical completion; including leadership roles in schematic design, documentation and site-observation phases. Produced Alt-1, 2 & NB drawings for regulatory filing. Produced both residential and commercial zoning + feasibility reports. High-level computer literacy in computer aided design packages: Autodesk Revit, AutoCad, Rhino; Rendering Software: 3DSMax, Revit, VRay; Presentation software: Adobe Design Suite.

Worked on a range of institutional, educational and urban scale projects with a particular focus on post-disaster reconstruction following the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010. Concept design and documentation experience on complex commercial builds. Key aspects included: sophisticated BIM modelling, co-ordination with multiple consultants, consultation with PCG stakeholders and the managing of staged consent for accelerated construction programs. Translated initial sketches and concept directions into fully rendered presentations and 3D marketing visualizations.

The BAS leads into two-year Master's-level qualification to achieve an accredited professional degree in Architecture. The second year of study included a major architectural research project and thesis, with supervision from the academic staff in the School of Architecture.
