The Shijo Omiya corner in Kyoto Japan is a shadow of its former self. An express subway line that previously terminated here now bypasses this corner and continues on through the city. In groups of 6 students, both landscape and architecture alike, we were nstructed to come up with a comprehensive I design that would reignite the presence youth in the area. This would bring fresh life to the schools and shops, and ultimately increase attention to the old Machi-ya style homes. We created seven nodes within the district that each reinvigorate their surrounding areas and together lend to a greater overall scheme.
