This was a rails with trails project for the community of Orofino, Idaho.  Here is one of several destinations on this trail. The rest area will provide access throughout the site.  The proposed historical building will provide different kinds of opportunities that will be unique to the area.  Each part the building will have artifacts, pictures and other significant elements meaningful to the area.  The back of the building will have an area to sit and lock up bicycles.  There will be an open space for families to have picnic gatherings.  During the night, there will be lighting on the site for people who visit the rest area.  The trees surrounding the area will provide shade and protection against noise and erosion on the hill on the northern part of the site. Signs directing traffic will increase safety and reduce any kind of conflict   between people and vehicles.
