Two existing building used for thread manufacturing were presented and a scheme for vertical farming needed to be proposed. The initial plan was to activate the new central street by adding exterior growing areas as well as adding water catching and containment bins, so that the flow through the buildings could seems more coherent. Growing beds were also added along the now accessible roof tops for seasonal growth throughout the spring and summer months.I redesigned the interior of two buildings for the farming and cultivating produce. The exterior co-existed in being a space for a farmers market integrating lighting aspects for food cultivation as well as produce sale.
