The Graham Avenue House is a duplex designed and built in 1921, remodeled into a 3-unit apartment in 1953, and very little in the way of remodels since. The unit in question was completely gutted to the exterior studs and joists. New exterior stucco, windows, and interior finishes and fixtures were designed and constructed. The project is currently in it's final stages of inspection and punch lists. This remodel was my first solo project as a licensed architect. I learned a great deal from the contractors that worked day to day, as well as surprises in how a building was constructed in 1921.
