Zocalo is an unbuilt civic plaza and park designed for Baldwin Park. The design is separated by Pacific Avenue; the east side dedicated as a civic plaza in front of Baldwin Park City Hall. On the West side of Pacific Avenue is the park proper, with a meandering path, seating areas, a central pavilion / fountain, and a small retail building for 2-3 tenants. As the Job Captain I was responsible for the overall design package day to day, coordinating with our team at LCDG and with our consultants. Zocalo was fun and an experience in creating a public outdoor environment.
