Sukkah City 2010: Ever Changing Repetition

One material type; elongated, shortened, horizontal, vertical, connected, left hanging in the air. All the steps repeated in a way to create an order based on an ancient set of rules that are placed in a modern setting. That is what is accomplished by this project.

Architecture when it is conceived has its own rhythm, one that is clearly shown in its first 2 dimensional form and then given life when constructed in our 3 dimensional world, to create this rhythm things are repeated and changed as their repeated.

Andy Warhol once said that "life is a series of images that changes as they repeat themselves" buildings are the same as time moves the change as they repeat. The Sukkah being a building type is the same, the ancient rules are still in place they are just manipulated to suit the needs and wants of its creator at any given time and suited to its designated location
