Developed and validated the Fast Fluid Dynamics model that is 50 times faster than CFD models for performing rapid airflow simulations in buildings.
Improved the user accesses to the Fast Fluid Dynamics program by integrating it with a preprocessing and post-processing interface program.
Conducted experiments with tracer gas method and numerical investigations by using ANSYS FLUENT to evaluate the ventilation performance in laboratories in case of chemical spills.
Assisted to commission the HVAC system for the new indoor air quality chamber at Herrick Lab.

Evaluated the environmental impact of applying the air-to-air energy recovery heat exchangers for building thermal systems with the method of Life Cycle Assessment.
Developed a numerical model to investigate the potential of utilizing cool air in the underground spaces for free cooling and provided advices for designing the ventilation system for the World Expo 2010 Axis.
Simulated and analyzed the energy consumption of the HVAC system for the Hongqiao Transportation Hub.
Assisted to perform the thermal response test for the ground heat exchanger (GHX), including purchasing, installing and calibrating the experiment instruments.
Performed economics analysis for the chilled water thermal storage system and ice thermal storage system.
