Matthew received his Master of Architectue degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2015) and his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2012).
Aside from general design, he is interested in design pedagogy, the design of spaces that facilitate education and research, and the critical analysis of architecture education and professional culture.
He believes that every action and observation is a learning opportunity, that every idea has at least some value, and that architecture and design are tools to enhance that opportunity and value.
