• Design restoration projects such as: façade repairs, roof replacements and structural reinforcements in accordance with DOB requirements.
• Perform field measurements and façade inspections for drawing and specifications.
• Generate construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Assist with submission of construction documents to the DOB and LPC.
• Assist with the bidding process and perform building walk-throughs with the owner and contractors during contractor selection.
• Assist in the preparation of material samples for LPC approval together with a briefing on how materials such as: terracotta, limestone, cast stone, brick and mortar shall be preserved and restored on historic landmark buildings.
• Conduct routine progress inspections twice a week for the duration of the entire project and generate weekly and bi-weekly field reports for the site visits.
• Conduct bi-weekly progress meetings with the client and contractor followed by the preparation of meeting minutes.
• Generate change orders for approved additional work and review payment requisitions based on work completed.
• Propose solutions for unforeseen project conditions during the construction phase.
