About

Born in Sacramento California, I have fond memories of olive trees, camping at Big Sur, and riding my bike in broken-in corduroys.   Since 10, I have lived in upstate New York enjoying things much different, like sledding for the first time and apple orchards in the fall.

Since grade school I have enjoyed playing flute in marching bands and orchestras and competitively played flute, graded by the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association).  In high school I competed and was part of the Area-All State band.

I have always had an interest in art including drawing, charcoal, and water color.  I competed in art shows at SUNY Plattsburgh.  Drawing was in fact my favorite hobby.  My appreciation for art and my imagination has leaded me into my career choice of Interior Design.

I started studying Interior Design at Sage College of Albany in 2003.  Through contacts I met, an opportunity arose to work for a tile distributor in Albany.  From 2003 to 2010 I worked as a regional architectural tile representative, consulting with architects and designers to specify porcelain tile on commercial projects.

In 2010 I decided that I wanted to go back to school full time to complete my BFA in Interior Design.  I realized that selecting finishes as opposed to selling them was really what I wanted to do.

A project my classmate and I developed was selected for design implementation by Habitat for Humanity, and the architect of record. As the winning designers, ten new homes were built using our conceptual ideas in conjunction with their own.

In college and through work, I have learned invaluable skills in critical thinking and researching to arrive to a full and in-depth design concept. I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate with a great design team, and continue designing spaces that show my personality and innovative design style.
