In April of 2012, I received my Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. I am currently seeking a position as a Junior Architect or Architectural Assistant at a firm that is practicing internationally, promotes a creative and collaborative learning environment, and one that provides challenging projects for their associates. I have a personal goal of becoming a professionally licensed architect and I will seek guidance and request opportunties that will allow me to ascend from a post-graduate position into a role of a professional.

My architectural interests have been defined, reaffirmed and solidified during my experience in graduate school. The University of Michigan TCAUP boasts a world-class fabrication laboratory and fosters the latest trends in digital technologies and discourse. During my time at the university I was fully engaged with courses that exposed us to methodologies such as Rapid Prototyping, Parametric Modeling and Digital Fabrication, to name a few. I became fully involved with the Digital Fabrication Laboratory (Fab-Lab), not just as a student, but through employment as a Fab-Lab Assistant. My duties included setting up files on multiple software platforms, such as Rhinoceros and Mastercam, and operating the school's CNC router and waterjet to fabricate dozens of student and faculty projects. Additionally, I have been exposed to other fabrication technologies including laser cutters, 3d printers and a zund knife cutter which were used for my own projects.

With a specialty in fabrication, I am able to work at multiple scales whether if that is to fabricate a mockup of a complex system and detail, or at the scale of a topographic base for a finished presentation model. I have digitally/parametrically designed components that range from facade studies of buildings to the cover of my own portfolio. I work confidently and comfortably with digital software and tools, but I am still enormously interested in the discipline of architecture as a whole - from the earliest sketches to the very last construction inspection, and everything in between.
