I'm interested in urban design, urbanism, architecture, city planning, and how these fields can and might do to alleviate problems of cities in general.

NYC Department of City Planning Urban Design Division, New York, NY, US, Intern

Compiling written and graphic analysis of public space design in train stations for new pedestrian plaza along Vanderbilt Ave. Working on building design analysis for the City’s re-zoning of Midtown. Worked closely with Mayor Bloomberg’s office to prepare adAPT NYC micro-unit project for presentation to public. Headed design of adAPT logo and exhibition window. Promote outreach efforts to applicants to the adAPT pilot program. Assisting with study detailing role of Urban Design in the NYC DCP, to be distributed to visiting delegates. Developing inside knowledge of the project approval process and zoning regulations.

Conceptualized and produced diagrams/drawings for The Fall Kill Plan, a project for the environmental and social revitalization of the Fall Kill Creek in Poughkeepsie, NY. Collaborated on presentations to client and townspeople at public meetings. Created and maintained the project blog.
