In this BAC independent study I acted as a student architect under the supervision of a licensed architect. In this project we worked on a complete gut renovation of a single family residence. The original structure had severe structural deficiencies, extensive termite damage and needed all new building systems installed.
Over the course of the project, I worked with clients to complete programmatic and schematic design, researched and proposed new building systems, including sustainable materials and methods to meet client needs and budget. My construction experience over the course of the project including demolition, structural, building methods and light frame construction. Further installation of building systems, finishes and trim round out my site experience. Currently completing final finishes before project documentation.
