Casey Peterson

New York, NY, US

I am pursuing jobs in many fields related to architecture and urbanism. I have a background in research and writing from my internships at the Urban Land Institute and Steven Winter Associates, a green building consulting firm that gave me experience in LEED Certification. I also maintain a written blog exploring the issue of authenticity in the modern city as well as two photographic travel blogs from my study abroad experiences in Havana and Copenhagen. I have experience in architectural design, as I was an Architectural Studies major at Middlebury College and participated on their Solar Decathlon team, which earned 4th place in the international student design/build competition. I am especially interested in sustainable design and urbanism, but would be happy working as a writer, researcher, planner, or office organizer in a design firm.

Urban Land Institute, Washington, DC, US, Infrastructure Initiative Intern

I began research for the 2013 Infrastructure Report, which involved finding case studies of innovative funding strategies for park space and citywide stormwater management plans. I also conducted research on private taxing to fund transit for an article in Urban Land magazine and developed a new website for the Infastructure Initiative using Wordpress.
