Andy Madonna, Project Manager of Mirador Group, has 14 years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture and sustainable design in both residential and commercial projects. Andy has the pleasure of working with team members on a daily basis to ensure a smooth process and high quality design.

Prior to joining Mirador Group, Andy worked as an intern architect in the Philadelphia area for a few years before going to South Florida to receive his master’s degree from Florida International University. While there, he was chosen to be student project manager for FIU’s School of Architecture Solar Decathlon Team in a two year design & build competition held by the Department of Energy and National Renewable Energy Laboratory

The fully built zero energy house was researched, designed and constructed in South Florida, disassembled, shipped and reconstructed on the National Mall in Washington, DC by the student team to compete against 19 other teams from around the world.

Andy’s experience in sustainable design projects combined with his education and technical skills have made him an integral member of the Mirador Group. He believes the environment with which we build is valuable and can greatly affect our future lifestyle. “Designing for generations of use is important, and it begins with knowledge and responsibility from everyone. By creating an environment that is clean, clear, and therefore is calming and pleasing; we will ultimately inherit those same characteristics.”

Andy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Philadelphia University in 2004 and a Masters of Architecture from Florida International University in 2011 where he received the Tau Sigma Delta Academic Excellence award, the AIA Miami award of Excellence in Student Design, and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Sustainable South Florida award for education and outreach
