My name is Michael Bandkau and I am a 22 year old graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. I recently graduated in May of 2012 and
am seeking employment in the architectural design field.

During my college undergraduate career I have evolved as a person and a designer, both
graphically and architecturally. I have become familiar with many different design tactics and have
worked diligently to develop my own process, which has spawned my body of design work. I am
familiar with a variety of different design software as well, which includes Google Sketchup, Autodesk Revit and AutoCad, Adobe Illustrator and Indesign as well as Photoshop. Through enduring many design critiques I have honed my public speaking and presentation skills and have become comfortable presenting to clients. My skill set has not been limited to academics. Through my involvement in various offices during my tenure with the University I have become a leader who embodies professionalism and hard work. My involvement has been in the Office of Student Engagement and the Office of Leadership and First Year Programs as well as in the Information Technology Department with the LTU Computer Help Desk. I have been an active member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, International for four years in which I have held several Executive Council positions, including Historian, Vice President and Sergeant in Arms. I am also one of the founding members of the Chi Rho Chapter of the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and have worked at the Lawrence Technological University Computer Help Desk for the past year. This job has given me a certain skill set pertaining to Information Technology which includes troubleshooting network problems and has allowed me to work with professionals in an office setting.

Balancing these extra-curricular activities with my job and a heavy academic workload has taught me valuable lessons in time management and task prioritization. Leadership skills were developed and refined throughout this process. Being as involved as I have been during my tenure at Lawrence Technological University has given me the leadership skills and professionalism that would make me a valuable employee to any architecture firm.
