About

I am a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Architecture degree as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. With my architectural and hands on experience in this field, I combine the skills as a really accomplished draftsman and a great space planner and architectural designer.

I’ve been told by several that my ability to quickly and accurately depict an idea through 3D visualization has been very beneficial in communicating design concepts with the client. This in turn has aided in the efficiency of space planning, specifically the design of a new fine dine restaurant on Main Highway located in Coconut Grove. This process has also been used for the interiors of other projects that consist of several residential towers and hotels in Brickell like the future three Habitat towers. I have managed several renovation projects from concept design to construction documents phase with budgets of up to 2.5 million dollars.

Most recently, I have been employed at a small firm in Fort Lauderdale. With this firms wide range of projects, I’ve been able to gain experience with Institutional work as well as Low Income Housing projects. In both of these fields, the projects have been very design oriented.

Prior to that I was at Arquitectonica. Throughout my time at there, I managed multiple hospitality, commercial, residential and restaurant design projects. As project manager my duties also involve making sure we stay within the project budget, presenting solid concept designs to the clients, organizing meetings with the client, contractor and our design team and making sure we fulfilled our task according and hit our deadlines.

Prior to Arquitectonica, I was working in New York at G. Switzer Architecture P.C., a small full-service architecture firm, where I managed multiple commercial, residential and restaurant design projects. Most of my responsibilities were that of a project manager or job captain. Being the most senior person at the firm under the Principal, I led and collaborated with my team from initial design phase to project construction and completion. Working in a small firm gave me exposure to all aspects of the practice. When not in the office, I was out surveying, actively participating in meetings with clients to presenting our solutions and designs, and on site, overseeing construction and advising contractors when necessary. When in the office I was developing full construction documents, maintaining constant contact with clients via email or phone and developing solutions for all projects.

I am currently in the process of becoming licensed.

Education

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Providence, BArch, Arcitecture

Although trained as an architect, while at RISD I was able to expose myself to a variety of disciplines such as interior design, graphic design, industrial design, film, and some digital media. This allowed me to broaden my comprehension of what it is to be a designer and compliment my architectural studies. Acquiring these different design skills has allowed me to apply the different mediums into my work as an architect.
