Mario was born in La Habana, Cuba and moved to the United States at the age of 9.   Attended Florida International University in Miami, FL where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (08) and a Master of Architecture (11).

He participated in the 2011 U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition with FIU where he was a Design Architect of the PerFORM[D]ance House.  He participated in the project from its conceptual design to its construction. 

His architectural experience includes working in teams to develop projects from schematic design phase to construction documentation.  He has also worked on various project types including retail, mixed use, commercial, transportation, multi-family residential, single family residential and landscape architecture.

Currently, Mario is a Senior Architecture Lead at Wework for the LATAM region working extensively on several projects throughout Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
