Space Planning & Architectural Design
o Prepares detailed architectural drawings, sketches, and test-fit layouts for proposed renovations of classrooms, offices and teaching and support spaces for senior leadership through use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, and other design tools.
 Developed the preliminary test-fit space layout for the 6,000 SF Hillel building, helping senior administrators to identify the formal programming and renovations needed for the newly acquired building.
o Reviews and creates architectural drawings needed by senior staff members for any project throughout the University.
o Develops furniture and preliminary space plans for office and accessory spaces to determine optimal space uses around campus.
 Developed space plans for the realignment of Testing Services and the Disability Resource Center (3,500 SF) in SSB, which helped maximize efficiency between these two programs while freeing up space for new programing within the building.
o Records and analyzes space requests from colleges, units, and departments
o Researches advanced topics and develops benchmark studies on campus, facility, and space planning.
o Develops space program documentation to support pre-design efforts
o Retrieves and analyzes information from Facility Information Management (FIM) and archives information to further develop and support space planning efforts.
Campus Planning
o Creates architectural drawings, maps and spatial diagrams to help implement the UIC Master Plan using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other design tools
o Responsible for updating official campus maps, including the Interactive Campus Map, which visualizes campus facility locations, amenities, and transportation routes.
o Creates maps and spatial diagrams for campus planning efforts, including visualization of campus lighting levels and bicycle rack locations.
