About

I am in my final semester at NC State and will be graduating with a Master of Architecture degree in May 2021.  With my degree, I will acquire Graduate Certificates in City Design and Energy & Technology. My educational experience has helped me learn different aspects of architecture including sustainability, technology, structure, research, model building, and architectural writing. My work and leadership as a ‘Graduate representative in AIAS’ and ‘ULI Hines Design Competition in 2020-2021’ have led to my interest in architecture and urban design. Currently, I work as a ‘Teaching Assistant’ at NC State University which has been equally as valuable as a medium for learning.

Education

North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, US, MArch, Architecture

My first semester was an exploration of form with physical models for a ‘Raleigh Wellness Center’ concluding with a study of details. Also, the design was nominated for the AIA Triangle ‘Excellence in Design’ (Fall 2019 Studio).

In my second semester, I worked in a ‘City Design’ studio and also served as a leader in ULI Hines Design Competition in 2020 and 2021; where I learned about collaboration with students of other majors; a key factor of professional
practice. Both these experiences have led to my interest in architecture and urban design.

In my third semester, I collaboratively worked on a tall building with my colleague under the guidance of SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill) and learned technical details.
