Luqi Jia is a graduate student major in Architecture. She is working in Entertainment studio currently. The research studio is one of the M.arch2 projects of Architecture & Urban Design department of UCLA led by Jimenez Lai. Her research project is to build a virtual country with other students and apply different social functions through different types of buildings. In the meanwhile, she uses video, physical model and books to record the research and design results.  Jia is interested in designing small and medium-sized cultural buildings and artistic creations related to architecture.

Jia graduated from Hebei University of Architecture and gained her B.A. degree in Architecture in 2018. She set up a 3D printing studio with the help of the Department of Architecture & Art In 2015. Her duty was using 3D printers to design according to customer’s requirements. She interned at “Architecture office in General Research Institute of Military Science” in 2016. Where she recorded the plan of old housings in Beijing and investigated Beijing traditional architecture “sihe-yard" ‘s status under the guidance of her tutor. She won First Prize of“Hebei-Tianjin Construction Festival 2017 ” and Provincial Second Prize of “National College Student Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works “ Competition in 2017. In 2018, she participated in “Beautiful Villages” project initiated by the government of Zhangjiakou on the recommendation of her teacher. During her involvement, she investigated Chinese traditional villages in Hebei province and helped shape the government's plans to restore traditional villages.
