About

With a background in architecture design (M. Arch from UIUC, B. Arch from SJTU) and dedication to BIM workflow exploration, I deliver a distinctive competency of computation-driven design strategy, which perfectly fits this position.

I have been dedicated to architecture design and detailing for over 12 years: with seven years of architecture education and more than five years of professional practice, mainly in commercial, retail, and incubating working space, etc. After taking responsibility for different roles in dozens of projects, I am familiar with almost all workflows and essential skills to complete deliverables (drawings, diagrams, renderings, scheduling, etc.) for any project stages with the most proper BIM tools available.

Getting used to the existing mature workflow is never the motto of my profession. Even the process is time-consuming and challenging, I would spare no effort to develop and organize the design resource encyclopedia, among which the most essential is the algorithm set. Some of the scripts have been proved to elevate the team's working efficiency. Other scripts can generate analysis that rationalizes design ideas. I will continue refining and integrating these tools to coalesce computational technology and professional practice.

One saying becomes more evident to me after these years of the profession: architecture is never solo work. I was recognized as the keystone of project teams by helping colleagues solve technical intricacy, coordinating interns during the BIM workflow, etc. To take more responsibility for the team, I am now becoming licensed and have already passed PcM exam of ARE.
