Usual Studio, founded in 2017, is an architectural team focused on the diversity of design. We collaborated across different disciplines to practice urban planning, architecture, interior, and product design. Usual Studio design works have been acknowledged by the media and press worldwide, and received numerous design awards, including “Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) Winner”, “2017 A+Awards 'Jury Winner' and 'Popular Choice Winner’”, ”2016 The I-ding International Design Prize”and “2016 China Interior Design Awards Jintang Prize”.
From the planning design "Light City", which is made from the improvement of living and lighting conditions, to the renovation design “Rope Wave Office”, which is changed a shabby place into a creative co-working office, our ideas comes from the re-interpretation and definition of the value of design.

Rope Wave Office has won two 2017 Architizer A+Awards, a program that recognizes outstanding design across more than 100 categories. This project in Shanghai won both the Jury Award and the Popular Choice Award in the category for Commercial-Coworking Space.
The Architizer A+Awards, now in its fifth year, is billed as the largest awards program that promotes and celebrates architecture and products from around the world. This year's competition brought in submissions from more than 100 countries, with a jury winner and popular choice winner selected in each category. More than 400 jurors from diverse fields, including fashion, publishing, product design, real estate development, and technology, judged entries. The popular choice winner was selected through a public online vote. This year's winners will be recognized at the Architizer A+Awards Gala in New York City on May 11th, 2017.
