I am Dong uk, Kim, who is currently a master student in architecture and urban design at University of California, Los Angeles and expected to graduate in June 2017.  I hope that my experience from the 6 years of architecture school and diverse working experience as an intern in 5 architecture companies would correspond with your need. 

While in undergraduate school, I was highly interested in urban and social issues, and researched about mix-used building, office, and urban planning. Thus, I completed my own thesis paper with the graduation exhibition. Also, in master program of architecture in UCLA, while dealing with the topic about the architecture in extreme environment with professor Craig Hodgetts, I was highly focused on multidisciplinary design, especially structure, materials, construction and even geology. As a result, I took a charge of the main designer of the research team and successfully finished the project with the real scale mocking-up and the exhibition.

Furthermore, my extensive work experience as an intern in diverse architecture companies have led me work on over 10 projects with broad range, including small residence, service area in highway, hotel, mix-used buildings, and master planning. While I was doing from the concept design to the schematic design with the head designer of the company directly, and thus accomplished the contract worth over $120,000, the projects improved not only my knowledge of architectural details, also my communication skill with my team members, other fields, or clients, and improved my drawing skill such as 3D modeling, rendering, and setting up presentations. 

After achieving a master degree of architecture, I want to fully focus on practical and professional architectural projects and to broaden my architectural perspective while working in more secure job.
