Friends of Honduras USA, San Antonio de Cortés, HN, Head Designer

Friends of Honduras USA is a non-profit organization established in 2009 for the purposes of providing advocacy for the victims of poverty and abuse in Honduras, promoting democracy, and facilitating trustworthy communication.

As head designer, I oversaw the design of future projects and managed those that were already under construction. Under the direction of executive director Roland Dale, I worked closely with Mayor Amner Mendoza in conjunction with the municipal government, World Vision, and various community leaders and members. Meetings occurred on an almost daily basis to ensure that completed projects were a true reflection of the community's needs and aspirations.

It was a volunteer position.

My responsibility was to assist in the completion of scale models and renderings. This involved the use of typical shop tools and software, as well as a laser-cutter and 3D printer. We also frequently used tiny, little trees.
