This is achieved by working through details, geometric analysis on complex facade structures, 3d modeling and digital visualization of proposed systems in conjunction with the structural and thermal analysis of the enclosure systems.

Water_Works: Gowanus by Design, 1st Place

While reviewing the over 150 submissions, the jurors agreed that no single entry fully addressed the multitude of challenges presented by the competition brief and therefore decided to award winners in three categories instead: Urban Ecology, Architectural Design, and Community Programming.

Audrey + Alex Worden of StudioTJOA were awarded 1st place in Urban Ecology.


Guest Speaker - Tutor of Zolotaya Kapitel, Other

Presented research in crochet and textiles (Emergent Explorations: Analog and Digital Scripting) during the week long workshop at the Novosibirsk State Academy of Architecture and Art.

The workshop focused on the use of parametrics in the development of form and manufacture of a site specific bench. Scale models were realized with digital tools and rapid prototyping machines.

Programs of the workshop included: Rhino, Grasshopper, Kangaroo, and Vray
