I am an Architect.

At Machado Silvetti I am working on buildings, master plans and, by direct extension, the cities they inhabit and the communities they affect. Our firm was founded on an agenda of experimentation, conceptual clarity and the distinctive resolution of context, materials and form. We continue to advance this agenda in a vibrant contemporary practice.

My recent projects include the Global Center for Academic and Spiritual Life in for New York University in Manhattan, the master plan for the Tun Razak Exchange financial center in Kuala Lumpur, and the green ceramic clad addition to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. Currently I am working on the Vietnamese-German University, the Denver Art Museum and the Pomona College Museum of Art.

At Harvard's Graduate School of Design I teach design studios and professional practice courses, advise thesis student and serve on the school's practice platform research group. I am currently the school's representative to the Boston Society of Architects' Board of Directors.

Architecture is optimistic - an occasion to improve our lives and our world.
Architecture is experimental - a constant call for the unprecedented.
Architecture is knowledge - both distinct and engaged.
Architecture is expertise - the unpredictable convergence of the discipline, the profession and the public.
Architecture is personal - a heightened self-consciousness.
