Flatiron Public Plaza Holiday Design Competition 2016 (Finalist), 2nd Place

I work as the project architect in this fast 2-week competition in July. I generated the final design scheme and produce the concept diagram and material diagram with illustrator and rhino. I help prepared some of the technical drawings, renderings and layout in InDesign till the final submission.

one of the four Shortlists in 175 projects from 49 different countries.(one selected by public vote, three selected by juries)

I worked in 5-week as a project architect starting from initial concept, programs development, technical drawings, environmental analysis to the renderings in Stage I. Then, the project was award as one of the three finalists selected by juries and moved on to the Stage II.

In the 4-weeks of Stage II. I continued to work as project architect by finalising the programs, materials and details. I produced final drawings, 3d rhino model, some renderings, program analysis and concept diagrams. Plus, I coordinated with a series of structure engineers, facade consultants and the environmental analysts in Stage II.

Awarded as Highlighted Entry (16/235) within 235 entries from 47 countries.

It was a 4-week intense competition. I worked closely with principals with the design process as project architect. I create 3d rhino model, drawings with illustrator and photoshop as well as all the diagram in illustrator. Meanwhile, I've made the physical model using chipboard with oxidised iron paint, mat board and acrylic board.
