About

A native of northern Michigan, I graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University in 1998.  My studies included a semester in Architecture at both the Alvar Aalto designed Helsinki University of Technology and the Czech Technical University in Prague.  These varied experiences shaped my world view and gave me a diverse foundation that greatly influenced my approach to Architecture and Design.

I began my professional career designing high-end commercial projects for Kohn Pedersen Fox, in New York.  I spent 6 years there working on a diverse array of building types,  including office towers in Asia, an airport train station, and a mixed-use master plan.

In 2004, I was hired by former KPF colleague, Michael Arad at Handel Architects, to support his vision for his award winning design for the World Trade Center Memorial.  For nearly four years I was in charge of managing the design team and project management duties, including meetings with our client, the LMDC, and coordination with our partners Davis Brody Bond (Architect of Record) and Peter Walker and Partners (Landscape Architect).

After completion of design and construction documents on the Memorial, I was hired by lifestyle retailer, Anthropologie, to start an in-house store design team.  In the following 7 years, I built and managed an interdisciplinary team of designers to develop architecture, interiors, fixtures and finishes for over a third of their fleet of stores.  I was integral to their bricks and mortar launch into the UK/EU market, as well as sister wedding brand, BHLDN.

Parallel to these commercial endeavors, I have maintained studiorobert jamieson, as a further creative outlet for study of ideas outside of these professional contexts, continuing as a full time focus in 2015.
