Oculus is pleased to find out that not one, but two of our projects are 2018 Winners awarded by the ICSC, the International Council of Shopping Centers. The ICSC U.S. Design and Development Awards are stated to “honor and recognize the premier design and development trends of retail projects, new developments, renovations, expansions, and retail store design within the U.S.”

We are proud to have been an integral part of these projects, each of which is unique in it’s own way.

Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas, NV Commendation | Retail projects over 500,000 sf of total retail space Architect: CallisonRTKL Located on the infamous Las Vegas strip, this mall is over 1.8 million square feet and Nevada’s largest shopping center. Lighting design included a large-scale renovation of its open plaza, water elements, terraces, walkways, and interior public areas.

The Point, El Segundo, CA Commendation/Commendation for Sustainability | Retail projects under 150,000 sf of total retail space Architect: Architects Orange The design for The Point basically flips the idea of a typical retail center inside out by facing all of the shops and restaurants within the 115,000 SF lifestyle project towards each other, creating a central lawn arena that provides a cozy landscaped “Living room” that is perfect for inspiring community gathering.
