SKYHIVE 2020 — The Annual Bee Breeders Skyscraper Challenge

The SKYHIVE 2020 Skyscraper Challenge is the third annual architecture competition which searches out the latest and greatest designs for an iconic high rise structure. Participants of the SKYHIVE Challenge are tasked with creating a concept for a state-of-the-art tower that breaks from the norm. It is important that designs show consideration for the impact on the surrounding environment and infrastructure.
San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, Jun 3, 2020
The San Francisco Affordable Housing Challenge is the latest in the Bee Breeders Affordable Housing competition series. In partnership with ARCHHIVE BOOKS, this affordable housing challenge is tasking participants with conceiving a solution to the city by the bay’s housing crisis. There are no specific requirements for this competition, and so participants are encouraged to be as creative as possible with their proposed solutions. Project designs should be flexible, enabling them to accommodate different inhabitants and their varying requirements.
UNSCHOOL COPENHAGEN

The world is facing a huge learning crisis. Education systems have become so generic and systemic that it doesn’t provide personal, innovative and optimized care to its pupils. The competition seeks the creation of a ‘school for the future’ (age group 5-12) that completely negates the regularized building typology of existing ones. The competition seeks to radicalize the school system through architecture not only in terms of improving the quality of study environment but revamping the system and breaking all the physical and metaphorical class divisions into an entirely new school system.
HOPE DENTAL CENTER: Rwanda Clinic and Training Institute
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Mar 6, 2020
Archstorming will help non-profit organization His Hands on Africa (HHOA) build a Dental Clinic and Training Institute in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. The winning proposal will be built. The HOPE Dental Center will operate a world-class dental clinic in the Kacyiru sector of the capital city, Kigali. It will be the foundation of HHOA’s vision for a sustainable dental care system in Rwanda.
