The Archcouncil of Moscow announced 20 finalists in the Architectural and Urban Planning Competition. Launched this past April, the competition is seeking the best design concepts for five experimental housing renovation sites throughout Moscow. Selected from an initial 133 applications, the finalist teams will be assigned to work in the Kuzminki, Golovinsky, Tsaritsyno, Prospect Vernadskogo and Khoroshevo-Mnevniki districts.
The international list of finalists include Zaha Hadid Architects, Transsolar, MEGANOM, Studio 44, Steven Holl Architects, Nikken Sekkei, Sergey Skuratov Architects, and more. A total of five winners (one for each site) will be selected to finalize their proposal. Check out the full list of finalists for each site below.

Lots 115,116, 121 of Kuzminki (South-Eastern Administrative District), total area — 109.6 ha, 86 buildings to be renovated.

Lot 32-33, 34-35 of Prospect Vernadskogo (Western Administrative District), total area — 126.4 ha, 58 buildings to be renovated.
