The Royal College of Art in London holds a brilliant annual fundraiser by selling anonymously-designed postcard-sized art pieces.
And that’s where the beauty of RCA Secret comes in. The annual sale’s great, egalitarian selling point – namely that all works remain anonymous until they’ve been bought and paid for – means that while some of the most recognisable works by the likes of Damien Hirst and Paula Rego were snapped up within minutes of the doors opening, there are always a good smattering of works by other well-known artists and designers for those who prefer to start their art hunt after the dawn chorus has been well and truly sung.
